Product Review: Innovative Soft Kids Knee and Elbow Pads for Kids with Bike Gloves

pads for kids

As summers have arrived and summer vacations are following, it is time for the bikes to be out. I have an almost five-year-old who was just waiting for the weather to be warmer. She loves her bike and enjoys riding outside. She still rides the tricycle bikes and hasn’t graduated to the two-wheeler one. But this summer we are planning to take that plunge. And while getting prepared for that, I was approached by our friends at Simply Kids to try out their elbow and knee pads. And it couldn’t have arrived at a better time!

What are Elbow and Knee Pads?

All you parents must be already familiar with knee and elbow pads and how they are helpful for your little ones. They are protective pads that can be worn around the elbows and knees to offer safety to your kids. You can fasten them with belts and are quite comfortable to wear. They provide security and safety so that your kids do not get injured while riding a bike.

Are they Necessary?

I don’t remember wearing them as a kid and many of you might have learned how to cycle without wearing them. But how I wish I had those when I was just learning to cycle. I had so many bruises on my knees and elbows. And the fear of injuries can dampen the spirit of little ones. Even parents sometimes delay teaching kids how to ride a bike for fear of injuries. Thus, these knee and elbow pads for kids could be a lifesaver and give you the needed mental peace.

It could boost the confidence of your children as they are aware that they will not get hurt. This will in turn help them to learn and ride around on a bicycle better. As they do not have to worry about losing their balance and getting injured, they can push themselves harder. As parents, you can also allow them to be more independent while starting out.

The Simply Kids Innovative Soft Kids Knee and Elbow Pads with Bike Gloves

The Simply Kids knee and elbow pads come with bike gloves thus providing the best safety. And they are very soft and comfortable to use. They come in 26 cool designs. And their products are available for kids of the age range of 2-11 years old. Wrist guards are also available for kids 2-11 and are ideal for skateboarding and rollerskating. Not only that, but they also have knee pads for babies aged 0.5-2. Isn’t that cool?

Products:

  1. The first generation protective gear set is for kids aged 2-11 and is available in three different sizes:  2-4, 4-8, and 8-11.
  2. The second-generation protective gear set is available for kids 2-8 years and can be found in two different sizes: 2-4, 4-8.

I got the unicorn design for my five years old and she was thrilled to receive it. There are numerous designs for both boys and girls such as the ocean camo, pink snowflake, and dinosaur.

Knee and elbow pads for kids

Not only are they useful for your own kids but can also be wonderful gifts. The protective kit includes two knee pads and shin pads, 2 elbow pads, and bike gloves. They also come in a mesh bag to help storage easier. Plus they also send some cute stickers for your young ones. They are great for cycling but can also be used for skateboarding, mountain biking, BMX biking, or rollerblading.

The bicycle pads set has also passed the 𝘾𝙋𝙎𝙄𝘼 (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) Testing. They use the revolutionary 3-Layer design, which includes 0.3 inch EVA and 2 x 0.24-inch neoprene to absorb impact.

The other thing that I loved about this product is they are washable and lightweight. Thus, very comfortable!

Enjoy your summers with these new pads and be free of the worry of injuries. Your kids will also love wearing them and find them very easy to move around.

It’s been a few weeks since I have been using them and till now I haven’t found any drawbacks. Hope it continues to function like this. Do let us know in the comments if you have used them and how you found the pads! We are all ears for both the pros and cons.
